Member of the NHSE Dementia Steering Group 2020-2024 (inclusive of COVID pandemic membership). 

 

Contributed as an SME, Leeds Beckett (2017) and DiADeM (2024).

Presented in national and local clinical networks 

 

Led the Brighton & Hove Memory Assessment Service between 2015-24 and elevated the service as a model of good practice in national system. Shared learning within NHSE national networks and local commissioning systems.  

 

Led the B&H MAS to attain compliance with national benchmark (DDR) both pre and post COVID

 

Led two success accreditation cycles with the Royal College Of Psychiatrist accreditation programme, MSNAP. The pinnacle of compliance attained in 2019 when service attained accreditation at Level 3 and received their Sustainability Award, and Letter of Commendation from MSNAP Board in 2019 for compliance with over 90% of standards.

 

Innovated within B&H MAS, in partnership with Roche Pharmaceuticals by developing the first community service with dedicated biomarker (CSF) pathway in collaboration with neurology. The pathway improved access to enhanced diagnostics aiding early diagnosis and provided treatment and support, including care planning and peer support for both patients with and without positive biomarkers.    

 

Successfully redesigned the B&H MAS to provide peri and post diagnostic support since 2017 and led the pilot that providing care planning and peer support for people with MCI.

 

Designed and mobilised the B&H dementia peer support programme for patients and their family and friends to aid adjust to the diagnosis and integrate with the local healthcare and psychosocial system, to mitigate crises and improve quality of life.

 

Provided consultancy services (via Here, Care Unbound Ltd) and co-led System Thinking projects within Welsh healthcare system (Hywell Da University Health Board).

 

Led the Brighton and Hove MAS LGBTQ+ quality improvement project in collaboration with the LGBT Switchboard, set out better understand their unique needs and how provision must be personalised to improve outcomes and experience.
