National Recognition – System Thinking & Organisational Innovation
- Social Enterprise of the Year (2017) — national recognition for values-led system thinking and co-design, delivered through cross-sector partnership to proactively mitigate pathways to dependency and improve outcomes and experience for patients, carers and local systems
- Employee Ownership Innovation Award (2017) — recognising workforce-led innovation that delivered sustainable change, strong performance and quality standards, and improved outcomes and experience
Flagship Service Leadership – Brighton & Hove Memory Assessment Service (2015–2024)
- Led the service to become a national model of good practice, with learning shared across NHSE national networks and local commissioning systems
- Achieved and sustained compliance with national dementia diagnostic benchmarks (DDR) pre- and post-COVID
- Led two successful MSNAP accreditation cycles, including:
- Level 3 accreditation (2019)
- Sustainability Award and Letter of Commendation from the MSNAP Board for >90% standards compliance
Innovation, Pathway Design & Personalisation
- Co-developed the UK’s first community dementia service with a dedicated biomarker (CSF) pathway, in partnership with Roche and neurology colleagues, improving access to enhanced diagnostics, earlier diagnosis and personalised care planning
- Redesigned peri- and post-diagnostic pathways, including:
- What Matters Most conversations at point of referral and enhanced psychosocial support
- Early care planning and peer support for people with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
- Integrated psychosocial support for patients and families
- Designed and mobilised a dementia peer support programme, supporting adjustment to diagnosis, system navigation and crisis prevention
Inclusion, Equity & Whole-System Improvement
- Provided consultancy and co-led system-thinking transformation projects within the Welsh healthcare system, working with Hywel Dda University Health Board
- Led an LGBTQ+ dementia quality improvement programme in partnership with LGBT Switchboard, improving service personalisation, access and experience
